During the unique 5-day tour around the Golden Ring of Russia you’ll trip to Sergiev Posad, Pereslavl-Zalessky, Aleksandrov, Myshkin city-museum, Uglich, Borisoglebsk, Rostov the Great, Yaroslavl and Kostroma. You’ll discover the unique facts and legends connected with these places, make selfies and take photos of the memorials and churches, monasteries and museums that have been the glory of Russia. The guide will tell the amazing stories about them and answer all of you inquires. Comfortable BB accommodation in cozy hotel is waiting for you in each place you’ll stop for a night. Transfers between cities and sightseeing tours are carried out by an air-conditioned bus.

DAY 1

The day will start from a bus ride to Sergiev Posad – you’ll come there from Moscow. The program includes a visit to Holy Trinity Lavra and a trip to Pereslavl-Zalessky. Sightseeing tour also foresees spending several hours in Aleksandrov city. An excursion to Aleksandrov Kremlin, Ivan the Terrible residence, an acquaintance with the unique architectural ensemble, the Sovereign Courtyard in the Alexander Sloboda exposition are waiting for you. Returning to Sergiev Posad, you’ll have free time for shipping and resting.

DAY 2

This day will surprise you with amazing excursions in Myshkin city-museum, Russian province that has preserved its ancient houses of this old merchant city and an old way of life. Myshkin, famous for its blacksmiths and potters, is known for its fantastic, unique museums devoted to Mouse and Russian “Valenok” (a kind of winter boots). The Mouse Museum will plunge you into the gorgeous royal life atmosphere. Hospitable MouseTsar and Queen will teach you protective tricks helping to avoid all cat’s misfortunes. Devoted keepers of the Mouse “heritage” will show you all mice from around the world that can only exist – cartoon characters, romantic mice-travelers, mice-scientists… Leaving the city-museum, take a Mouse souvenir for luck. You next step is Uglich with its “Museum of urban life of the XIX century” and a famous Russian Vodka History Museum. Uglich, being the native city of Vodke “king” Smirnoff, offers today all sorts of this strong beverage.

DAY 3

The day will begin with Uglich sightseeing tour. Visiting the Uglich Kremlin with its Chamber of Tsarevich Dimitry and the Church of St. Dmitry on the Blood, you’ll listen to the sad story about the tragic death of Ivan the Terrible’s son. The Kremlin’s heart, the Transfiguration Cathedral will astonish you with its majesty and tranquility. The program also includes an acquaintance with the Assumption Church (1628) and Alekseevsky monastery with its wonder – the icon of the Mother of God. Your next stop is Borisoglebsk – the place is famous for an old Monastery, built in XVI-XVII. Leaving it, you will go to Rostov The Great and after lunch enjoy free time.

DAY 4

Starting from the tour to Rostov Kremlin, the oldest residence of Rostov metropolitans, you will continue the tour with an excursion around the exhibition of ceramics. After lunch you’ll go to Yaroslavl, the city, where Volga and the Kotorosl Rivers meet. Take a walk along the beautiful embankment, enjoy the majestic beauty of the Uspenski Cathedral, visit Spaso-Preobrazhensky Monastery, called “Kremlin” for its thick fortified wide and tall walls. After the excursions you’ll depart to Kostroma.

DAY 5

Starting the day with Kostroma sightseeing tour, you will get acquainted with this merchant city that has preserved its original look since VIII century. You’ll see the Fire Tower, the Ipatiev (Hypatian) built in 1330 by a Tatar convert, Prince Chet and the Epiphany Monastery of St. Anastasia. This monastery, laid down in 1462 by the saint Nikita, keeps unique Fyodorovskaya Icon of Our Lady. If you pick the tour from May, 17 to September, 20, you’ll be offered an additional, 30 minutes boat trip along the Volga river. Coming to the city in September, 26 – May, 13, you will visit them and take pleasure of watching fantastic gold and silver products in the “Jewelery Art” museum and learn about yarn and weaving techniques in “Flax and Birchbark” museum.
